The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you finally made the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean more quality to the paintings, am i right?.
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

The last cartoon of Neurotically Yours, "Job Search" establishes Germaine's new job as an art model. With that in mind, I'll be working on some fancy/artsy portraits of the character for the cartoon. (Tasteful ones) so no, no nude Germaine. >_< Besides DA is filled with folks who can draw better boobs than I can, draw your own naked Germaine. : O

I admit, at first I was a little miffed at the whole rebooted story being more PG13 and no more whore Germaine, if only because her story was one of the biggest parts of what made the whole cartoon so hillarious. But I have to say, I'm warmind up to this new story. I'm glad she got into something tasteful and beautiful in art. I'm also glad you're still not going to be drawing her naked, even though she's a nude model now.

Thank god no nude Germaine, don't get me wrong I love your cartoon (been watching for the past ten years O.O) but I honestly don't want to see her nude, I really like this idea of giving her more tasteful artsy portraits...will you ever show them in a cartoon? That would be sweet. As I said I love Germaine more covered up and classy but...what do I know. -Shrugs-

Could not help thinking what Foamy said is so obvious, at least from an european standpoint. Is it hard to keep people in USA from being ass's on nude art? Here a "catcall" could get your ass thrown out off campus.

Anyway, huge respect for nude models.

yeah, nude modeling in the U.S. is a bit "iffy". Depends on the artist really. A lot of people just get stupid around boobs and it kinda screws things up for the rest of us trying to learn anatomy. My experience with models has always been very good, and I think a lot of people should be exposed to that. It humanizes the body instead of objectifying it. At least for me. Though i guess some people are just wired to see boobs as boobs and nothing more. *shrug*
